WM Yearbooks are available for purchase until April 12, 2010 the cost is $30.00. After April 12, 2010 the cost is $35.00. The Bessemer Lions Scholarship applications are available in Mr. Lane's office. There are two $250.00 scholarships. Deadline to apply is May 1, 2010. Full payment from Prom is due by March 26, 2010. Please give your Prom money to Dakota Easley. The Lake Gogebic Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship applications are available in Mr. Lanes' s office. The deadline for application is April 30, 2010. White Pine Electric Power LLC Engineering scholarship applications are availabe in Mr. Lane's office. Seniors who are interested must be majoring in the field of Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Deadline for application is May 10, 2010. There is a sign up sheet in the office for all students in grades 9-12 who are interested in playing baseball this spring/summer. We are exploring the possibility of running a team. Quiz bowl practice will be tomorrow (Wed.) at 5pm in the art room. This is for all students traveling to the GCC tournament on Thursday, including scorekeepers.Yearbook meeting this Thursday after school in the library. Wild for Reading 2010 Wakefield- Marenisco Elementary Read-A-Thon ~In an effort to raise money for new library books, students will be participating in an elementary Read-A-Thon. A Read-A-Thon encourages learners to enjoy reading and to practice reading skills. Students who wish to participate are asked to collect pledges during the week of April 12 th. The following week students will be reading and recording minutes. Each student participating in the Read-A-Thon will be eligible for prize drawings. Three grand prizes will be awarded to the readers who raise a minimum of $15.00 and have read the most minutes read. The class that reads the most minutes will win a popcorn and movie party.
